Macro & Small Product Photography (Mail-In Service)
We specialize in macro and small product photography for items ranging from approximately 3 mm up to 1', capturing crisp detail, accurate color, and clean white backgrounds. Our mail-in process is ideal for photographing products, collectibles, components, and small objects within a controlled studio setup.
We also photograph tabletop items up to 12 inches, using the same consistent lighting and white-background standards.
White background only — no lifestyle scenes, props, or people.
Clients ship their items to us, and we deliver fully edited, e-commerce-ready product images at a flat rate of $20 CAD per image.
“Comparable studios charge $40–$75 CAD per image for macro product photography of this quality. Our streamlined workflow lets us offer the same production-grade results at a flat $20 CAD per image—so you get premium visuals at a true value, not a ‘cheapened’ option.”
-
MacroBlast production image (minor retouch included) – $20 CAD / image
Clean, sharp, studio-quality product photography optimized for e-commerce. -
Our image quality aligns with standard professional production. We price at $20 CAD per image as part of our launch strategy, prioritizing efficiency and volume while building traffic and clientele. As demand stabilizes, pricing may adjust, but our focus will remain on delivering strong economic value without compromising quality. As shown in the first gallery below, our production images may at times meet or exceed the visual quality of CGI, delivered at the same flat rate.
-
Standard professional product photography (basic retouch) – $35–$50 CAD / image
Typical mid-range white-background product photography from small studios. -
Same image with magazine-level / high-end retouch – $70–$100 CAD / image
Advanced retouching where small refinements add up to a polished, print-ready look suitable for campaigns and editorial use. -
CGI product image (single hero render) – $75–$200+ CAD / image
High-end 3D renders created by specialists in a full CGI workflow. Pricing varies widely based on model complexity, materials, and revision rounds.

Our up-to-1-foot product studio is currently in development. It will feature two primary strobed key lights with fill, and will support white or black backdrops. Imaging will be captured using a 50 mm autofocus lens, with manual adjustment where required.
The optical characteristics and framing of this setup are expected to closely match our existing macro imagery, resulting in a consistent visual output.
Full operation of the larger product studio is planned for Q1 2026.
Raw file Finished Jpeg
Raw and Finished Files
Left: RAW image (unprocessed, directly from the camera) ~20 MB
Right: Finished image (edited JPEG or processed RAW) ~3 MB
(Highlights in the finished JPEG may be slightly blown intentionally to add sparkle and visual impact.)
All orders include finished high-resolution JPEGs.
JPEG files can be further edited using:
-
Adobe Photoshop
-
Adobe Lightroom
RAW files: optional add-on at $5 CAD per image (unless otherwise stated in a package).
Files are delivered via email or a secure cloud link.
**An important note. The delivered Jpeg files are 1-3mb on average. Some platforms may produce an error message if the files are ~2mb or larger. To mitigate this issue: use MS paint app. Choose the resize tool -> pixels -> input the new pixel value in the left box - change 1376 in the example to 1/2 of the original value or to ~700. The second value will auto-change -> 'ok'. Then save the new file. The process is depicted below.**

"Our goal is to offer high-value macro images at a flat $20 rate, with an understanding of our target market. We recognize that many clients operate with modest product-imaging budgets, often under $1k CAD (eBay, Etsy, Amazon). With this in mind, the service is priced simply and transparently. As a business, profitability is only half of the goal, while customer satisfaction and practical usefulness are the primary focus.”
— Jim Jones, Owner
